Interests: I love music and sports. I've been playing drums for about five years now, and really enjoy listening to music. My favorite bands are Collective Soul, Kutless, United (they're an awesome worship band), Hoobastank, Creed, Linkin Park, and many many more. I also like worship music alot. As for sports, I'm an all-around sports kinda guy. I like football, hockey, baseball, and basketball, in that order. My favorite teams are the Indianapolis Colts and the Calgary Flames.
Expertise: Hmm... I'd have to say I know the most about drumming. I know a fair bit about sports, too... which isn't surprising, considering all the time I spend watching sports on TV... hehe... I suppose you could say I'm good at quoting movies too...

Well, for all of you who don't know, I'm leaving for Bible college tomorrow. I won't be online all that much, but you can still e-mail me (joshmiller109@hotmail.com) if you'd like. Hope all of you have a really good year.

Boy... It's been a while since I've done this.

Not too much news or anything... but the Flames just won and are one win away from moving on... GO FLAMES GO!

Kind of a hard week though... we had to put my puppy down. We'd had her ever since I was four... it's been tough. Really weird not to have her around anymore.

On a happier note though, I'm starting drum lessons in a couple weeks. Hopefully I can keep moving along with drumming... I'm not sure, but I'm praying about going to drumming school in a year or two.

Here's some interesting stuff...  in case you wanted to know (And I know you've just been itching to find out).

  • In the Middle Ages, dead bodies were often used as ammunition for catapults.
  • FBI statistic: 74% of threats at federal workers are aimed at IRS employees.
  • The British government has 100,000 cats on payroll... they are rat-catchers.
  • More Car model names start with the letter "c" than any other. (Think about it... Camaro, Corvette, Cavalier, Caprice, Caliber, Charger, Civic, Caravan, Corsica, Celica, Camry, Corolla, Cougar, Challenger... etc.)
  • Botulism bacteria is so toxic that one pound could kill every human on earth.
  • All sturgeon caught in British waters are legally the property of the Queen.
  • In Ancient Peru, chili peppers were used as currency.
  • In 1981 Turkish Scientists concluded that disco music made mice homosexual.
  • longest one word palindrome: saippuakivikauppias... Finnish for "lye merchant".
  • The Washington Monument is sinking at a rate of six inches a year.
  • A favorite pizza topping in Australia: eggs.
  • The "B.F." in "B.F Goodrich" stands for Benjamin Franklin.
  • 95% of paperwork filed in the average office will never be seen again.
  • It takes a twinkie 45 seconds in the average microwave to explode.
So there you go... now you're a little more knowledgeable.

Talk to you guys later...

Hey! It's been a while since I've updated...

Well the Steelers won the Superbowl. I was cheering for the Seahawks... but the team I'm cheering for never wins. Ever. But that's ok, I'm still holding out hope that someday my beloved Colts will win the Superbowl.

I'm still doing carpentry, I'm enjoying it... someday I'll be able to build my own house. I'm going to put secret passage-ways in it.

I'm gonna go skiing pretty soon with some friends. That should be fun. I'd like to plan a trip overseas somewhere too... but we'll see what happens. I'm sure God will give me direction when He wants me to go somewhere.

So how's everybody doing? I miss talking to all of my old friends at NS. E-mail me sometime if you ever get the chance.

Anyways, I need to go to bed. Hope you guys all have a great week!

So how was everyone's Christmas?

Thursday, December 15, 2005

So I got my grad present last weekend... a really, REALLY nice snare drum. We got it from Mother's music, it was a trade in... so slightly used, $700... brand new, it's $1800. It has gold plated hardware. =D

This is it...except mine has a blondie wooden finish to it instead of the black.

I like my grad present. =D
